Proud Cyprus is a specialised consultancy and civil society partner (SME) dedicated to advancing human rights, health equity, and social inclusion. With over 15 years of leadership across European public health networks, we act as a highly capable strategic partner for Horizon Europe, EU4Health, CERV, and Erasmus+ consortia. We actively bridge the critical gap between hard-to-reach grassroots communities and EU policy-level institutions, such as the WHO and ECDC. Our multidisciplinary team excels in leading dissemination, communication, and exploitation, audiovisual production, research and community engagement. We provide operational support and services, through FAIR-compliant behavioural research, scalable Train-the-Trainer (ToT) capacity building, and the implementation of intersectional Gender Equality Plans (GEP), ensuring that EU-funded initiative delivers strict compliance and measurable, sustainable impact.
Profile & Experience
Christos L. Krasidis is the founder and director of Proud Cyprus, bringing over 15 years of civil society leadership, human rights advocacy, and strategic communications expertise across pan-European networks. A pioneering figure in Cypriot civil society, he was a founding member of Accept LGBTI Cyprus (2010), the first registered LGBTI NGO in Cyprus. He currently serves as Board Chair of the AIDS Solidarity Movement (2025-2027), and served as the Steering Committee Chair for AIDS Action Europe (2022-2024), a network representing over 250 non-governmental organisations. He acts as an appointed community expert for the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the WHO Europe (including the Mpox working group and the A-Net community resilience network), bridging grassroots action with high-level institutional governance.
